Chef Kelly Q. started her career at the young age of 13. Too young to work, she volunteered in a children's hospital kitchen preparing desserts for terminally ill children. At age 16 she jumped into cake decorating and bakery work. At the age of 17 Kelly became a full time employee in a high end hotel kitchen. Chef Kelly worked side by side with many amazing chefs which only furthered her devotion to the culinary world. In 2001 Kelly was accepted into the world renowned Culinary Institute of America in NY. Kelly earned a 2 year Associates Degree in Culinary Arts and decided at that point to forgo a bachelors degree and obtain another 2 year Associates Degree, this time in Baking and Pastry Arts. At that time Kelly was one of only 5 people who had ever obtained both degrees at the NY Culinary Institute of America, and was the first woman to accomplish this task. While in the baking and pastry program it became clear to Kelly that cakes are her true passion in life. Kelly was able to complete the 2 year baking and pastry degree in just over a year, graduating for the second time in 2004. Since then Kelly has devoted herself to the wedding cake industry and prides herself on producing cakes that not only look great but are delicious as well. Chef Kelly custom built a private professional cake studio into her home to ensure the time to devote total attention to each and every single cake. With over 19 years of experience in the culinary field, and 14+ focused solely on creating amazing cakes, rest assured Kelly Q can make your cake dreams come true!​
